My Philosophy on Exercise
My approach to exercise is sustainability. We live in our body for many years, so it is important to understand its abilities and limitations so we can maintain lifelong health. We can push our body to its ultimate limit, and risk injury; or we can challenge our body in a healthy way, gradually increasing strength, mobility, and flexibility. As we become more aware of our body and how we can safely challenge it, we enhance posture, confidence, and balance while risk of falling decreases. I have been a fitness and dance educator for three decades. My deep knowledge of dance, Pilates, Nia, yoga, and body mechanics informs the flow of my classes. I love creating fun and innovative exercises that move every part of the body from head to toe. I enjoy teaching my students how to advocate for their own health through understanding their bodies. This is how we stay strong and fit for life.
